Sparhawk Infant & Nursery

Welcome to our website

I am delighted to welcome you to our school website, where you will find lots of information about our wonderful school.

Sparhawk Infant School is a family. We welcome everyone and all children are given the opportunity to develop as individuals in our safe, happy and ambitious school. We work together with families to provide the best possible start to every child’s educational journey.

We have a beautifully resourced school, both indoors and outside, with a caring team of excellent staff and a curriculum that celebrates diversity and encourages us all to: ‘nurture, grow, shine.’ If you walk through our school you will see engaged and happy children working with enthusiastic and kind staff.

Sparhawk Infant School is proudly working in partnership with The Federation of Spixworth Schools. Together, we celebrate our differences and share our talents. I am proud and privileged to be the Executive Headteacher of Sparhawk Infant School and look forward to getting to know you and your children.

Please continue to visit this website regularly for news, information and updates. If there is anything you can’t find or need in a different format, please feel free to pop in, call or email Miss Bowler, our office assistant, at office@sparhawk.school and we will be pleased to help.

News

Parents, Carers, and community stakeholders,

We are issuing this document which sets out the intention to federate Sparhawk Infant and Nursery School and the Federation of Spixworth Schools beginning 1st September 2024. The
schools have been working in an informal partnership since the beginning of the summer term and this interim arrangement with Ms Jordan as Executive Headteacher has worked very well. The Governors are proposing to formalise this arrangement with a Federation.
The paper explains what a Federation is, the reasons for the change, benefits, potential risks, as well as the consultation processes.
This is an important matter, therefore the Governing Boards of Sparhawk Infant and Nursery School and the Federation of Spixworth Schools are seeking the views of stakeholders, families, staff, and the wider community before committing to federate.

Please read the attached document for more information and ways that you can express your views.
